Hello Faithful Friends

I hope this letter finds you well and deeply in love with Jesus. I want this communication to serve as a huge hug of gratitude for your faithfulness in praying for us. Thank you for your consistent prayers. We have seen God show up in so many ways here in Uganda. We have really experienced hand-to-hand combat like never before. From the moment that we stepped on the ground a month ago, we have really sensed that the enemy is angry towards this project. He hates me, he hates you, he hates these kids, and he despises the thought of 22 Godly Ugandan kids travelling California to tell others how FAITHFUL THEIR GOD HAS BEEN. So, thank you for your prayers - - it has made us more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. I don’t think I have ever experienced this much warfare in this short of time period. He is pulling out all his old tricks. But NOT ONE of them has worked. God has given us favor at ever turn. It has been incredible to rest in His mighty power and unchanging grace.

Also, at the time that we came here I had no idea the plan that God had in place already. But once we arrived, I realized that God had everything already set for us - - it was necessary for us to be here during this period of preparation. When He set for us to come, I was questioning Him - - because it seemed so necessary for us to be on that side preparing. Oh boy was I wrong. God also sent Octavio and Blanca along with us at the perfect time. They were both so effective and useful. They accomplished MUCH in His name. We could not have planned our trip times any better. His timing is ALWAYS PERFECT!!!

I wanted to share a few things that have been accomplished and we are praising Him for.

PRAISE REPORTS:

  1. All passports (keep praising Him for this.  It was an unattainable task and God has accomplished it.  All glory to Him.)

  2. Obtained criminal clearance through Interpol for travelers.

  3. Chose the Choir Uniforms – met with the tailor, picked fabric.

  4. Chose the Cultural Dance Wear – met with the seamstress, picked fabric.

  5. Produced the Wamilele Music Video.

  6. Produced the Never Once Video

  7. Travelled out to Iganga (about 3 hours east of here), to confirm our expansion of ACCS sponsorship program.  IT’S A GO!  Super excited about being able to rescue kids from desperate situations and give them hope and life.

  8. Praising God for talented students here at ACV and for Mamas in the community that are busy making baskets, purses and art pieces.  Check out my Facebook to see some of the things they have made.  I stand in awe of their exceptional gifts.

  9. Got the very large packet completed and submitted to American Guild Musical Artists.  We are waiting for an approval, which should be here today (Tuesday).

  10. Submitting the same very large packet to the US Embassy  with the AGMA approval letter. Should hear in a week.

  11. All students are being dewormed today.

  12. We are going for yellow fever shots this week for every person travelling.

  13. Then we have our last step before we come to Cali is the US Embassy Uganda.  We have an apt for the 20th.  Pray we get our things back in time from the US to be able to go with our paperwork approved.

  14. The kids are all very busy practicing and getting their dances perfected.

  15. We led a random (not so random) guy to the Lord this past week. Tom, Octovio, Blanca, me and the whole staff were on a bus headed home from an outing - - we were asked if a gentlemen could join our bus for a few hours.  We said yes, and soon found out that he was from Argentina.  His name was Edwardo.  Several of the staff members, myself and Octavio all tagged teamed the salvation message and before we reached his destination – Edwardo became a brother of ours. It was very exciting to be a part of his life transformation. Keep praying for him please!

PRAYER REQUESTS:

  1. Continue praying for the approval process for the 3 entities;

  2. Pray for the spiritual battle that we are in. And that we would continue to see the Victory in Jesus.

  3. That we can make enough crafts for all the venues.

  4. That our uniforms get done in time.

  5. That the kids would be in unity with the staff.

  6. That God would give Tom and I wisdom in leading this team from Uganda to California.

  7. That we would raise the rest of the needed funds to complete the last few steps.  God has not brought us this far to leave us . . .  He has promised that.

  8. Please pray for Tom’s back, he is in a lot of pain.  Since his back surgery, he has not had this much pain.

  9. Pray for protection against malaria or other diseases.  The mosquitos are worse than I have ever seen them.  We are getting bitten alive.  Tom stopped counting at 72 mosquito bites.

  10. Pray for all the kid’s health.  Most of them have fallen sick with malaria and are being treated.

  11. Pray that the adults and children are receptive to the cultural training that will be happening next week.  And for insight to what God wants them to know.

  12. Pray for an event we have this Friday evening.  We have been invited back to Uganda Christian University.  Pray for courage for the kids.

Once again, thank you for your commitment to pray for the Agape Kids Choir.  God has been hearing and answering your prayers.  Also, I am attaching the new church “Promo Video” for you to see.  And hopefully you have been able to watch the two music videos that we have produced.
