To make this transition a bit easier, these village children have had the opportunity to experience some different, more American encounters in Uganda. Not only is this fabulous for cultural literacy, it is also vital for team and relationship building. It is also just plain fun!Read More
FOLLOW THE CHOIR
The buzz and stir in a little village in Uganda is getting louder. The children of the Agape Kids Choir are bursting with excitement and anticipation as they prepare for the greatest adventure of their lives.Read More
Small hands pressed together in prayer, they stand in matching shirts, their sweet faces intent on the moment. Black hair shaved or separated into tiny sections, each child stands straight and tall, joy etched onto their faces.Read More
Many of you were a part of the choir's incredible journey when they came to the United States in December 2017. Speaking of God’s constant and eternal faithfulness — the choir traveled and ministered. Not only pushing through their often devastating past of third-world poverty, but reaching beyond themselves to the other side of the world.
Now, in 2019, we are once again preparing to bring a choir to the United States.Read More
Beyond our expectations, beyond our fears, beyond the impossibilities; God, in his faithfulness, brought the entire Agape Kids Choir to the U.S. for their Never Once Tour. We praise his name!
The flights from Uganda to the U.S. take many hours, but we knew that the longest journey was still to come once we reached our destination. There were many adjustments that had to be made – new sleep schedules, foods, people, and even the climate. But for the most part, every child is adjusting well!Read More
Our God is crazy good. Every disappointment and hope fulfilled, every silent surrender and song of praise, every closed and open door – they are all part of His plan. In the impossible and the discouragement, He reigns sovereign, and He receives the glory. I cannot express His goodness in words; I can only say that we have tasted and seen that God is good.
Yesterday morning, the entire Agape Kids Choir – 26 people – got a visa.
Mama Sandi sat on the floor today, her laptop carefully balanced in her lap, her eyes glancing down often, waiting for an email from the embassy. Waiting. And waiting. And waiting. After many visits to the Embassy and a long battle, they had finally promised a time for an appointment tomorrow, and we were feeling discouraged that they would ever send it. EVER.Read More
The red roads of Uganda lead to many places, and the journey is always varied and always challenging. The obstacles and detours of Uganda are indicative also of this specific journey we have been on for well over a year: bringing the Agape Kid’s Choir to the US to share the gospel and raise awareness and support for the lives of many Ugandan children. We cannot begin to mitigate the challenges that God has seen us through already, and as we continue to walk forward, he has blessed us with an enormous amount of peace in His faithfulness and guidance.Read More
We have received our APPROVAL from the US Homeland Security to bring the Agape Kids Choir to the United States for their Never Once Tour. We are all so excited at what God has done and is going to do through these children.Read More
What an incredible event this turned out to be. The AKC held a two-hour concert for the community. A few days before the show, the kids went in and through the community inviting and promoting their neighbors. It was a beautiful site to see the church packed, with standing room only. We were able to minister to non-believers and many Muslims.Read More
As we are waiting for the Lord to open our door for our tour to the states, He has been faithful to provide so many wonderful opportunities for the choir. We just have to share one exciting one with you…Read More
God has been so faithful to us while we are here in Uganda. He has taken care of each and everything we have needed. We even recently ran out of our anti-malaria medication and we were able to find a Pharmacy that carried it. Thank you Jesus!Read More
I hope and pray that this letter finds you all well. Thank you so much for your continued prayer for us and for the children of Agape Kids Choir. God has really done some amazing work. We stand in awe of His handiwork. We wanted to let you know where we are at in the visa process.Read More
We are ever so grateful for your continued love and support. We are still here in Uganda and watching God continue to do miracles. However, it is somehow still very hard to wait. God’s timing is sometimes very hard to understand. But, we must always come to the place to stand and say, “not my will, but yours be done”. We only want His will – we only want His way – we only want His timing. Because we know that when we remain in Him and stay faithful to His work; we will be blessed. We need not force anything or push for our own rights – but instead, “stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”Read More
I was able to get some great shots of our artist who has agreed to paint many beautiful pieces for the choir to sell. This guy is very gifted. He has also been very beneficial in working with the younger students who have a talent for art. He has been able to teach them and have them help in the process. We are bringing back to the US some really incredible art pieces. Not only paintings, but wood carvings and scripture wall art. Here is Sanny Katongole at work…Read More
We have successfully obtained YELLOW FEVER shots for all the children of the Agape Kids Choir, as well as for every adult. Praise the Lord for a very kind and generous donor who gave to the choir so that they could get their needed shots.Read More
We have heard from the American Guild Musical Artists, and WE HAVE BEEN APPROVED. Their letter stated... “The information AGMA has received established that Agape Kids Choir presents a unique performance representative of the cultural heritage and musical traditions of Uganda. Based upon the applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, these artists appear to meet the standards of distinction set forth at 8CFR S 214.2(p).”Read More
I hope this letter finds you well and deeply in love with Jesus. I want this communication to serve as a huge hug of gratitude for your faithfulness in praying for us. Thank you for your consistent prayers. We have seen God show up in so many ways here in Uganda. We have really experienced hand-to-hand combat like never before. From the moment that we stepped on the ground a month ago, we have really sensed that the enemy is angry towards this project. He hates me, he hates you, he hates these kids, and he despises the thought of 22 Godly Ugandan kids travelling California to tell others how FAITHFUL THEIR GOD HAS BEEN. So, thank you for your prayers - - it has made us more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. I don’t think I have ever experienced this much warfare in this short of time period. He is pulling out all his old tricks. But NOT ONE of them has worked. God has given us favor at ever turn. It has been incredible to rest in His mighty power and unchanging grace.Read More
